BREMEN - The junior high co-ed track and field team traveled to Bremen for a non-conference triangular meet that included Oregon-Davis. LaVille used depth in the field events and the record-breaking effort of Austin King in the shot put to come away with a 77-66 victory over the Lions.  OD did not score. On the field event side, the Lancers posted 25 points, led by King's double-victory. King won the Discus with a toss of 77'-9".  He added a new school-record heave of 42'-5" in shot put to ignite the Lancers.  His new mark replaces the 40'-8" effort by Garrett Wagoner, a 2023 LaVille graduate. Luis Garcia was also a double-winner for the junior Lancers.  He won the 800 and 1600. Trevor Whiteman claimed the 400, while LaVille grabbed a pair of blue ribbons during the relay portion.  The team of Wood, Amor, Kreske, and Whiteman won the 4X100, while the unit of Whiteman, Kreske, Garcia, and Burghduf hit the tape in the 4X400. The depth really paid off as the Lancers snagged seven 2nds, five 3rds, and two 4ths. In the girls event, it was a battle between Bremen and LaVille for team honors. The Lancers registered 22 points, while the Lions had 12. Trish Reese (long jump), Bella Higley (high jump), and Lexi Huff (shot put) won key events to get LaVille off to a good start. Reese (200) and Madison Mishler (100 hurdles) won a couple of running events, but Bremen combined for seven running events to take control. Reese was the lone double-winner for the LaVille ladies. She also won the 200. LaVille battled throughout, but came up just short as the Lions won 67-52.  Oregon-Davis finished third with 7 points. JR.
