SOUTH BEND - The Indiana High School Athletic Association girls track and field state tournament begins on Tuesday, May 14. LaVille will join 10 other teams at South Bend St. Joseph High School for Sectional #5. Field events are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Admission will be digital through your mobile phone and may be purchased through Eventlink (additional fees may apply). Click for ticket access through Eventlink: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=80940 Advancement to the IHSAA Kokomo Regional on May 21 will be the following: *1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sectional winners in all individual events and relays plus any individual or relay team meeting the 3 Participant Standard in the sectional finals of their event. If the top 3 finishers plus 3 Participant Standard advancers in an event is less than 16, the next best performances from the corresponding sectionals shall be added to bring the total number of entrants to 16 in each event. An individual or relay team shall not advance to the regional from the sectional finals unless the time is recorded by fully automatic timing (FAT). The sectional field will include Career Academy South Bend, Glenn, LaVille, Mishawaka, Mishawaka Marian, Penn, South Bend Adams, South Bend Clay, South Bend Riley, South Bend Washington, Trinity Greenlawn, and the host Huskies. Among the top seeds for LaVille include Brooke Edison, who is tied for the #1-seed in the high jump. Also, Moriah Richhart, 4th in the shot put and London Kwiatkowski, 6th in 400m. Reagan Bollenbacher and the 4X400 relay team are seeded in the top 10.
