SOUTH BEND - The LaVille girls tennis team opened the 2024 IHSAA state tournament with a 3-2 victory over South Bend Washington. Winners for the Lancers were Lily Higley at No. 3 singles, the No.1 doubles duo of Cloie Davis and Lorelai Carey, and the No. 2 tandem of Kate Henry and Meghan Menting. It was the first victory of the season for LaVille and moved them to the sectional championship match against #1 South Bend Saint Joseph.
