LAGRANGE - The LaVille football team heads to Prairie Heights for the season-opening scrimmage. This will be the 5th year of the scrimmage meeting between the two schools. The Panthers replaced Wabash beginning in 2020. LaVille and Prairie Heights have agreed to Option B, as provided by the Indiana High School Athletic Association. Option B does not involve the kicking game in any way (i.e. punts, kickoffs, extra points). Each respective offense will start at the 35 yard line against the oppostitions defense for 15 plays of 18 minutes, respectably. Following a 4 minue break, teams will move to 10 yard line going into the end zone playing on offense/defense for 10 plays or 12 minutes. The final set of plays/time for the varsity will be each offense/defense lining up for 12 plays or 12 minutes from the 35 yard line. There will be a 2 minute transition break for reserve players that have not played. The JV teams then will get the ball for 8 plays or 8 minutes on 2 separate sets of plays - the first time from the 35 yard line and the second time from the yard line of choice. Overall, the scrimmage should run for 150 minutes, including 2 warm-up & breaks. We hope to see you at the scrimmage. You can also follow along on X @LVAthletics Bring The Excitement!
