LAKEVILLE - The volleyball team returned home after a weekend tournament in Peru. LaVille welcomed Elkhart Christian Academy in the home-opener Tuesday at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. Coach Pat Gring's club battled before dropping a 3-0 decision to the Eagles. Olivia Markin and Faith Mejer led the defense with 10 digs each. LHS (1-4) returns to action on August 21 in a non-conference match against Argos.  The junior varsity is set to serve at 5:30 p.m. In the JV match, LaVille defeated ECA, 2-0.  The Lancers converted a strong service game into 23 total aces.
