SOUTH BEND - The junior high volleyball team played LaSalle Academy in a non-conference match. Karissa Richhart had 10 aces and Alex Bracken seven aces to lead the seventh grade team to a 2-0 victory. Bracken also led in passing, while Richhart and Emma Wisniewski each collected a kill. It was a tough three-set loss for the eighth graders. The two clubs split the first two sets, before LaSalle Academy won the final set, 15-10. Leaders for the 8th grade were Bella Higley and Sophie Jones with one kill each. Jones had four aces and Kenzie Foster had three aces. LaVille returns to action on September 10 when they play host to Lincoln. The 7th grade match starts at 5 p.m., with the 8th grade to follow.
