BREMEN - The varsity girls soccer team traveled to Bremen for an Indiana Northern State Conference match. LaVille fell 2-0 to the Lions at Jane's Park. In a battle of the defenses, the two neighborhood rivals played nearly the entire first half before the Lions got on the board. Taylor Rodriguez netted a goal just one minute before halftime to put Bremen ahead 1-0. The two squads fought for 34 minutes into the second half until the Lions scored again for the final margin. LHS moves to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in INSC play. The Lancers return to INSC play on September 12 when John Glenn visits Lakeville. The match is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start at Newton Park.
