BOURBON - The LaVille volleyball team traveled to Triton for a non-conference match Wednesday. In the varsity match, the Lancers and Trojans battled before Triton came away with a 3-1 win. Faith Mejer was the leader at the net, picking up eight kills and three stuff blocks. Olivia Marking, Moriah Richhart, and Mejer led the defense with nearly 30 digs. LaVille, now 5-9 overall, will play host to rival Bremen in a Indiana Northern State Conference match on September 12. The junior varsity match is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start, with the varsity to follow.
