The junior high football team played Tippecanoe Valley in a Indiana Northern State Conference game. In the seventh grade contest, the Lancers came up short in a 20-6 final against the Vikings. Sam King scored the LaVille touchdown on a 70-yard run. On the eighth grade side, the Lancers ran the ball well and had a dominating defensive shut out for a 16-0 victory. Landon Gadsby scored on a 40 yard TD run and Colten Schwitz hit paydirt after a 10-yard TD jaunt. Quinton Bollenbacher had an extra point kick, while Jonny Yoder had a tackle for a safety on defense. LaVille will return to action on October 1 against Knox. The first game starts at 6 p.m. at Lancer Field.
