CULVER - The volleyball team traveled to Culver Community for a non-conference match Wednesday. In the varsity match, LaVille fell 3-0 to the Cavaliers, while the Lancer junior varsity dropped a 2-0 decision. LHS moves to 6-15 overall and will play host to Indiana Northern State Conference rival Tippecanoe Valley on October 3 at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The JV match is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start, with the varsity to follow. Coach Pat Gring's club will then travel to the Caston Invitational Oct. 5. The Lancers will join Northfield and North White to form Pool #2. In Pool #1, Demotte Christian and Taylor join the host Comets. Play is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. The final regular season and INSC match of the season is set for Oct. 8 at John Glenn.
