LAKEVILLE - LaVille Lady Hoops has announced its 2024-25 schedule for the upcoming season. The Lancers are set to play 10 games at home and 10 games on the road. LaVille will also play host to the 60th Everwise Bi-County Basketball Tournament from January 20 through January 25, 2025. Coach Nicholas Amor's club is coming off a 12-12 season a year ago, including a Class 2A sectional championship. Girls basketball season officially begins on Monday, October 21. LHS graduated just two players a year ago. There will be more in the girls basketball preview in the coming days. With LaVille changing conferences, the Lancers also made big changes to the schedule. Seven teams are new for the 2024-25 season. Gone are South Bend Purdue Polytechnic, Mishawaka, South Bend Clay, Winamac, Pioneer, Caston, and Culver Community. The last four teams continue in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference. Joining LaVille in the newly formed Indiana Northern State Conference are Bremen, Jimtown, John Glenn, Knox, and Tippecanoe Valley. The Vikings are one of seven games added to the 24-25 game schedule. A pre-season scrimmage game will start the season. Lewis Cass, who finished the 23-24 season with a 22-4 overall record, including a 2A sectional title, will pay a visit to Cox Gymnasium on October 30. New to the Lancer schedule for the coming campaign will be Mishawaka Marian (3-20 a year ago), Tippecanoe Valley (19-4), South Bend Adams (14-11), North Miami (9-13), New Prairie (20-6), Lakeland Christian Academy (9-15), and Washington Township (11-12). South Bend Riley returns to Cox Gym on Dec. 18 before closing the calendar year at Culver Academy (Dec. 20). Class 3A sectional champion New Prairie will help LaVille start 2025 by hosting the Lancers on January 3. Jimtown will come calling for an INSC battle on January 11, and North Judson-San Pierre January 14. A short trip to Elkhart Christian Academy on January 18 prepares LaVille for the week-long 60th Everwise Bi-County Basketball Tournament. The JV bracket will open the tournament on January 20 at four sites determined by the early-December blind draw. Varsity action tips on January 21, once again at four pre-determined sites via the blind draw. LaVille will then play host to semifinals, consolations, and Championship Saturday beginning on January 22. Following the Everwise Bi-County Basketball Tournament, LaVille finishes the regular season on the road. The Lancers visit Washington Township on January 28, then will travel to Argos on January 30. As the Indiana High School Athletic Association state tournament begins in early February, LaVille will join the Class 2A Sectional #34 field with Bremen, Career Academy South Bend, Jimtown, Knox, and Winamac. The IHSAA sectional is scheduled for February 4, 5, 7, and 8 at Knox High School. Start times will be determined following official pairings.
