Jr. High Basketball Tops North Judson

LAKEVILLE - The junior high basketball team played host to North Judson-San Pierre. In the seventh grade game, LaVille jumped to an early lead and never looked back to pick up a 54-15 victory over the Blue Jays. Trever Whiteman led the offense with 26 points. Clark Rowe added 11 points, Sam King had 10 and Gavin Johnson 7 for LaVille. On the eighth grade side, the Lancers led 19-17 after three quarters, before outscoring North Judson in the final period for a 34-24 win. Balanced scoring was the key for LaVille. Ethan Burghduf led all scorers with 11 points. Jonny Yoder had eight, Gavis Johnson seven, and Colten Schwitz six. Liam Amor and Brayton Hochstetler added two points each. Both teams improved to 3-1 overall. The Lancers return to action on Saturday, November 16, at NorthWood. Seventh grade action is set for a 10am tip, with the eighth grade game to follow.
