BREMEN - It's GAMEDAY! LaVille is set to travel to Bremen for a crucial Indiana Northern State Conference contest on Friday, January 10. Tip for the junior varsity game is set for 6pm, with the varsity game to follow. Bremen is 4-6 overall and 1-1 in INSC play.  The Lions are coming off a 52-48 loss to Rochester. BHS is led by Chase Devine at 21.7 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per outing and 3.2 assists per contest.  Tyrus Graverson adds 9.3 ppg and 3.5 rebounds, while Silas Laidig chips in with 7.6 ppg and 5.7 rebounds. LaVille is 6-4 overall and also 1-1 in the INSC.  The Lancers are coming off a stinging 49-48 homecourt loss to Class 1A #18 Triton on January 7.  Collin Czarnecki leads the way for the Lancers, averaging 23.0 ppg, 6.3 rpg and 3.1 steals per outing.  Lance Edison adds 8.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg, Andre Gonzales kicks in 8.3 ppg and Braedyn Foster chips in 6.3 ppg and 6.2 boards per outing. With the roughly 10-mile drive, these two schools are quite familiar with each other and have a deep history of playing in the regular season, the annual Bi-County basketball tournament and the IHSAA state tournament. Both LaVille and Bremen are battling with Tippecanoe Valley and Jimtown for the INSC championship, so this should be a dandy. We may even get free basketball if the Lancers and Lions decide regulation can't decide the showdown. Throw the records out, let's play some ball! Game on ...
