ELKHART - LaVille Lady Hoops traveled to Elkhart Christian Academy for a non-conference game Saturday. The Lancers battled before falling 60-49 during the ECA Homecoming. Elkhart Christian Academy brought a patient style that proved effective against LaVille's defense. In the second half, as LaVille tried to cut into an eight-point halftime deficit, ECA converted five of their seven 3-pointers. The Eagles ultimately won the game at the free throw line over the 3:35 of the game by hitting 11 of 18 free throws. Jasmine Foster led LaVille, scoring a team-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds. Brooke Edison added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals. LaVille moved to 13-5 overall as the 60th Everwise Bi-County basketball tournament is set to begin. Coach Nicholas Amor's club is set to open the event on January 21 against New Prairie.
