A NOTE FROM EVERWISE: The Everwise Bi-County Basketball Tournament has been an important part of our community’s history for 60 years, and Everwise Credit Union is proud to continue this partnership. During this tournament, we share a common goal of promoting education, teamwork, and empowering students to become our future leaders. The W. B. Hawkins Award for Excellence in Academics and Athletics is presented to two students for their positive contribution to their community and to their school. This award was established to honor former Everwise president, W. B. Hawkins (1962-1987). Hawkins was dedicated to serving our communities and the “People First” philosophy of our credit union, a principle we have operated under for over 90 years. The Everwise Bi-County Tournament is not only about basketball, but also about acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and commitment it takes to achieve amazing things. We congratulate the students, coaches, parents, and the community on this tournament’s continued success. The two recipients will be announced between the championship games on Jan 25, 2025!
