SOUTH BEND -  It's been nearly 10 years since LaVille and South Bend Washington met in high school basketball. On Tuesday, February 25, the Lancers and Panthers will lace 'em up again.  This time, LHS will travel to the Great Western Forum at South Bend Washington High School. The junior varsity is scheduled to tip at 6:00pm ET, with the varsity to start immediately following. South Bend Washington is 16-5 overall following a 89-60 victory over Elkhart. The Panthers are led by Steven Reynolds, who averages 24.0 points per game and grabs 8.2 rebounds per outing.  Dakori Parker adds 14.3 ppg and Gabe Burgin chips in 7.9 ppg for the WHS.  Coach Ryan Varga's team shoots over 32-percent from beyond the arc, led by Parker, with help from Mike Stuckey and Reynolds. "Washington is a very talented team, one of the best we have played this year," said LaVille coach Michael Edison. "Reynolds is their best player offensively, but they also have several other weapons.  They are very quick, attack the boards very hard, and have a couple of players that are really good 3 point shooters.  They are similar to Gary 21st Century, but they are better shooters and have more height and athleticism.  They press quite a bit and also push the ball up the floor very quickly.  They will definitely be a handful for us.  In order for us to stay with them we will need to box out, take care of the ball, and get high percentage shots." Coach Michael Edison will be sitting out the Washington game due to being assessed a pair of technicals in the Whitko game.  He will return for Friday's game at Trinity Greenlawn. LHS will close the regular season against Trinity Greenlawn on February 27.  The JV tips at 6pm, with the varsity to follow at the Trinity Athletic Complex. Game on ...
