MOORESVILLE - Hoosier Basketball Magazine has compiled its Top 60 senior boys' basketball players for 2024-25. Congratulations go out to LaVille senior Collin Czarnecki on being selected to the list. "Being invited to the top 60 workout is a huge honor," said Czarnecki. "It really shows that people have taken notice of what I have done this season. I am looking forward to the workout a lot because I will be playing with the top players in the state. It’ll be great competition. The honor is big to all who were invited to the workout." These boys were selected from approximately 1,500 seniors players statewide. The Top 60 Senior Workout will be at Marian University in Indianapolis on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Statistical evaluation, game observation and statewide research were conducted throughout the state and the state tournament to determine Hoosier Basketball Magazines's Top 60. Two sessions of the Top 60 Senior Workout will be hosted March 30 by Hoosier Basketball Magazine, in conjunction with the IHSAA and the IBCA, at Marian University (3200 N, Cold Spring Road). Half of the Top 60, primarily from Northern and Southern Indiana, will participate in the first session (1:00 - 3:00 pm EST).  The remaining players, mostly from Central Indiana, will compete during the second session (3:30 - 5:30 pm EST). "I think it is a neat opportunity for Collin to be able to work out for the Top 60 Workout in Indiana," LaVille High School basketball coach Michael Edison said of his all-time leading scorer. "It is a testament to him and his hard work and perseverance throughout the years.  He is a great basketball player and an even better individual.  I'm looking forward to seeing how he does as I believe he is the first person that I know of from LaVille that has been a part of something so special! We have also reached out to Collin for a few comments.  We are awaiting his response and will add his comments once they are received. When asked about Czarnecki, LaVille athletic director Will Hostrawser, who also coached Czarnecki in football, said "Despite accomplishing historic achievements while playing at LaVille, Collin's work ethic and inner drive to constantly improve his game leads to these kinds of opportunities." The state's top three senior point producers, all over 26 ppp, were also invited, along with six players who were featured front and center on the 2024-25 issue of Hoosier Basketball Magazine invited to Top 60 players. "It means a lot to represent LaVille Sunday," Czarnecki said when asked about representing LaVille basketball and Lancer Nation. "LaVille is gaining attention from all over the state. Being a smaller school, LaVille often isn’t recognized as much. Now, LaVille is being recognized on a big stage because of how high of a level the Top 60 workout is." Coach Bobby Allen (Guerin Catholic) will direct both sessions.  Other outstanding IBCA coaches - Tyler Leighton (Jimtown), Michael McBride (Jennings County), Alaa Mrouch (East Chicago Central) and Garrett (Fishers) - have been invited to assist with on-court coaching. Both sessions are open to the public - Admission is $9.00.
