LAKEVILLE - We are excited to team together with Jersey Mike's Subs as they sponsor a Player of the Week at LaVille High School! Coaches and LaVille Athletic Department personnel will select various student-athletes from baseball, boys golf, boys track and field, girls tennis, girls track and field, and softball. Our girls track and field recipient this week is LaVille senior Moriah Richhart. She was nominated by coach Erin Ecker. "Moriah Richhart started the season off strong," said the Lancer coach. "She won the shot put in the season opener against Culver Academies and also chipped in third place points. On Thursday, against Bremen, Richhart swept the throwing events." When asked how the season is going so far, Richhart said, "Track has been going pretty good. It's been pretty cold, so it's been hard to PR in the cold meets, but I'm just putting in the work and building up to those big meets, conference and sectionals." The track and field team's next meet will be April 15 against Bethany Christian, Elkhart Christian Academy and Trinity Greenlawn When she learned of Jersey Mike's recognition, Moriah said, "Yeah, I really appreciate their recognition.
