LAKEVILLE - The LaVille junior high track and field teams opened the season with a home meet against rival Urey at Lancer Field. During the meet, five LaVille school records were set. Congratulations to Austin King, Lucas Kreske, Madison Mishler and Annie Tyler. King broke the LaVille shot put record.  King's effort broke his own mark of 42'-5" from 2024.  The new record now stands at 50'-1.5" Kreske clocked in at 11.77 in the 100 meter dash to break the former record of Lawrence Wood of 12.2 in 2024. On the gals side, Tyler broke two records. Annie set a new school standard in the 800m run.  Tyler's new time of 2-minutes, 48-seconds, replaced the 2:49 from 2019. She also broke the 1600m, clocking in at 2:48.11. The old 1600m mark was held by Caitlyn Goffinet at 2:49.0. Mishler bested her school record in the 200 hurdles from 34.0 to a new 32.94.
