LAKEVILLE - The 2025 edition of Lancer Relays is set for Friday, May 2, at LaVille Jr-Sr High School. Career Academy South Bend, Culver Community, Fairfield, Hobart, John Glenn, and Michigan City, join LaVille. Field events are set to begin at 5:30 p.m., with running events at approximately 7:30 p.m. Admission will be $7 per person., pre-school admitted free. The field events will be held in two phases. Phase one will have the boys take part in high jump and shot put, while the girls head to discus, long jump, and pole vault. Phase two finds the guys in the discus, long jump, and pole vault. The gals will close with high jump and shot put. Running events will include: Shuttle Hurdle Relay 1600m Relay Sprint Medley Relay Distance Medley Relay 800m Relay 3200m Relay 400m Relay Field events will be run in two phases PHASE ONE Boys - Shot Put & High Jump Girls - Long Jump, Discus, Pole Vault PHASE TWO Boys - Long Jump, Discus, Pole Vault Girls - Shot Put & High Jump The following scoring will be used: 1st place - 10 points 2nd place - 8 points 3rd place - 6 points 4th place - 4 points 5th place- 3 points 6th place - 2 points 7th place - 1 point Ribbons will be awarded for 1st thru 3rd Place in each event Trophy to winning boys team and girls teamFairfield is the defending champion in both the boys and girls Lancer Relays from 2024. LaVille finished as runner-up in both boys and girls a year ago.
