LAKEVILLE - We are excited to team together with Jersey Mike's Subs as they sponsor a Player of the Week at LaVille High School! Coaches and LaVille Athletic Department personnel will select various student-athletes from baseball, boys golf, boys track and field, girls tennis, girls track and field, and softball. Our girls track and field recipient this week is LaVille junior Madison Singleton. She was nominated by coach Erin Ecker. We had a minute to catch up with Madi and asked her about the track season. Madison is a pretty busy gal on the track, currently performing in four events - 100 meter sprint, 4X100 relay, long jump, and occasionally high jump. "The 4X100 relay is my favorite event," said Madison when asked about her favorite. "There is teamwork involved and I really enjoy that." When we asked Madison about the Jersey Mike's Subs recognition, she smiled and said, "It's exciting. I am really excited because track is one of my favorite sports. It makes me happy.
