LAKEVILLE - It's GAMEDAY for LaVille Volleyball! John Glenn visits Dale E Cox Gymnasium for not only a rivalry match, but also the opener in the Indiana Northern State Conference season for both teams. The Falcons come in with a 11-2 overall record following a victory over Wheeler on September 2. John Glenn started the season with nine straight victories until going 2-2 over its last four matches. Coach Katie Simmons brings in a Falcon group that is led by six seniors. Statistic leaders include Kenney Miller in kills, Kerklym Miller in blocks, Addison Manering in aces and assists, and Vivian Stephens in digs. The John Glenn-LaVille volleyball series dates back to the mid-70s, with JGHS leading the series 19-6 since 2007.  The Falcons have won the last three matches.  The last LaVille victory in the recent series came following a 3-1 Lancer victory on August 7, 2022. LaVille is 5-6 overall after a 3-0 loss to Plymouth on September 3. LHS is led by several players that are capable at the net.  Faith Mejer, Olivia Markin, and Madi Singleton lead the Lancer attack, with help from Ragen Wagoner and Lily Voss. Markin and Avery Lee share the setting duties in the 6-2 offense, while Mejer, Markin, and Lee are among a group of defenders for coach Pat Whiteman-Gring.
