LAKEVILLE - It's GAMEDAY in Lakeville! The LaVille Lancers return home in week three of the Indiana high school football regular season. And, following a battle against defending Class 1A state runner-up North Judson-San Pierre, the Lancers take on Central Noble. Kick-off is scheduled for a 7:00 pm kick from Lancer Field. The student-led broadcasting crew from LVH1 is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. https://www.ihsaatv.org/LHSLancers/ Central Noble is 0-2 following a 31-8 loss at Woodlan last week. Treyton Fletcher completed 16-of-30 passes for 184 yards, 0 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Damyan Duncan scored the lone touchdown for the Cougars. Coach Zach Baber's team likes to spread the field and throw the football. So far this season, Central Noble has put up 51 pass attempts. "We can expect a spread style offense in which they like to distribute the ball all over the field," said LaVille coach Jeff Kaiser. "On defense, they will play an attacking 4-3 primarily but mix things up upfront from what we have seen on film. "When CN has the ball, we need to make sure and contain WR's #1 (Porter) Kleeburg, #22 (Nick) Freeman and QB #8 (Conner) Fish." According to coach Kaiser, when the Lancer Blue Crew are on defense, "... we need to take care of their entire DLine and get a body on LB #51 (Keaton Weber)." LHS is #14 this week in the IFCA Class 1A poll and brings a 1-1 overall mark into the contest. Senior linebacker Braedyn Foster led the defense with 17 tackles a week ago. Noah Menis, Keena Richhart, Dylan Miller, Konnor Amor, and Kaid Hernandez all had double-figures in tackles. Caleb Skiles had a blocked field attempt, of which Amor scooped up and returned for a TD. Last week, LHS trailed Class 1A #5 North Judson, 14-0 early in the game before dropping a 21-14 decision to the Blue Jays. LHS had the ball deep in their own territory before a turnover halted one final effort to score. When asked for some keys to a Lancer victory this week, Kaiser explained, "We need to have a balanced offensive attack with the run and pass and then on defense not give up the big plays and play assignment football."
