LAKEVILLE - The LaVille junior high boys soccer team played host to Elkhart Christian Academy Thursday at Newton Park. Clark Rowe led the Lancer offense with a haul in the 4-0 victory over the Eagles. Gavin Johnson was credited with two assists as LaVille increased its offensive production to 37 goals against two by five opponents. "Game leaders include Clark Rowe with pulling the trigger and finding the back of the net 4 times!," said coach Brad Sherman. "He performed strongly and showed excellent talent as a forward. Gavin Johnson was in center mid and helped move the ball down the field while providing goal assists to Clark. If Elkhart Christian did make it through our midfield, Carson Sherman played a tough back line showing strong defensive skills. Though we did unfortunately let our opponent get some shots off, Pierce Riggs had some amazing saves and was determined that nothing was getting by him. Pierce ended the game with a clean sheet. Overall, the JH boys played with some true grit and left it all on the field tonight. It was their best played game so far this season. Fans were great and we ended the night under the lights of Newton Park."  LaVille, now 5-0, will return September 23 against John Young at Newton Park.  LaVille 4 Elkhart Christian Academy 0 At Newton Park, Lakeville, IN.
