AKRON - It's GAMEDAY for LaVille Football! In just the second all-time meeting inside the Indiana Northern State Conference, the Lancers travel to Tippecanoe Valley. Kick from Smith-Bibler Field is scheduled for 7pm ET on Sept 19, 2025. The Vikings lead the all-time series, 7-0, and both LaVille and TVHS are looking to pick up a win in the INSC standings. "Valley is a solid ball team with size and speed that will mix it up a bit on the offensive side of the ball and have a very versatile QB," said LaVille coach Jeff Kaiser. "Upfront they have size to compliment what they do." Tippecanoe Valley is 2-2 overall coming off a 36-21 loss to Knox. Wes Parker has been a solid back so far and is coming off a 161 yard performance on eight carries against the Redskins a week ago. The Vikings defense has also forced nine turnovers - 6 interceptions and three fumble recoveries - so far in 2025. "Some Key players for them that we must not allow to make big plays to hurt us are, Tyran Kiser LB/RB, Grady Moriarty LB/RB, Owen Armondi WR/DB, Wes Parker RB/DB and Hunter Sage QB," noted the Lancer boss. "They will mix it up with multiple guys in their running attack and once they find a combination/scheme that is working they will stay in it until you stop it. Then they aren't afraid to stretch you out with the deep ball." Coach Steve Moriarty returns for his ninth season at Valley, with a 59-31 coaching record. The Vikings have had seven straight winning seasons LaVille, meanwhile, has one of the best defenses in the state, regardless of class, averaging 9.3 points allowed in four games. This week, Kaiser's club resides inside the Top 25 in points allowed overall, and sixth in Class 1A. Coach Kaiser knows that ball security is going to be important again this week. In last week's 7-6 loss to rival Bremen, LaVille turned the ball over three times. LHS has 11 turnovers on the season - 7 interceptions and 4 fumbles - this season. "We must not give up the big plays, win the turnover battle, and most importantly win the battle in the trench in order for us to come away with a win," explained Kaiser when asked about some keys to a win on the road and first of the conference season. "We hope to see Lancer Nation in full support on the road." Game on ... GAMEDAY Teams: LaVille (2-2/0-1) at Tippecanoe Valley (2-2/0-1) Site: Smith-Bibler Field, Akron, IN.
