Soccer Set To Host Culver Community For Senior Night

LAKEVILLE - The LaVille soccer team is set to play host to Culver Community to close the 2025 regular season on October 2, 2025. We will also recognize members of our senior class in their final home match. Congratulations to Isaac Beelby, Asier Iraeta, Remington Loftus, Ryan Maenhout, Jackson McNerney, Eduardo Ponzellini, and Caden Wise. They will be recognized just prior to the introductions of the match against the Cavaliers. The guys match is scheduled for 5:30pm, with the girls to follow. Senior Night at Newton Park will be live-streamed on LVH1 - https://www.ihsaatv.org/?B=2852535 Culver comes to town with a 1-13 overall record following a 6-5 loss to Oregon-Davis on October 1. Johnny Villegas and Kael Bushman are the leading scorers, while Owen Tanner works in goal. CCHS is 1-4 in matches played on the road. LaVille is 8-5 overall after a 7-1 victory at Caston on September 30. Jackson McNerney registered three goals for LHS, while Lucas Maenhout added a pair of assists. Kyler Christy worked in goal, registering six saves. Christy's crew is 3-4 in home matches this season and is looking to extend its winning streak to three heading into the IHSAA state tournament next week. LaVille has also won three of its last four matches, including a 2-1 double OT loss to John Glenn in the semifinal round of the INSC Championships last weekend. Coach Keith Norman's crew is led in scoring by Loftus, McNerney and Jamison Norman. Christy has done a fine job in goal, registering 32 saves thus far. Norman's club leads the series 11-2 since 2012. LaVille has won the last three straight in the series, including a 3-0 win on September 24, 2024 victory. LaVille will continue the boy-girl doubleheader, with the ladies taking on South Bend Riley at approximately 7:30pm.
