LAKEVILLE - The 32nd Indiana High School Athletic Association Boys Soccer State Tournament is set to begin across the state the week of October 6, 2025. And LaVille will be one of the Class 1A host schools - Sectional #34 at Newton Park on October 6, 8, and 11. Two first round and two semifinal matches are scheduled to begin at 6pm and 8pm Eastern Time on Oct 6 and Oct 8. The sectional championship is set to begin at 2pm on Oct 11. Elkhart Christian Academy, Marquette Catholic, Oregon-Davis, Trinity Academy, and Westville join the host Lancers. The LaVille Sectional winner will face the winner of the Wheeler Sectional in the IHSAA Regional semifinal at the Wheeler Sectional winner home field. The IHSAA Regional championship is set to be played at Westview High School on October 18. LaVille (9-5) drew Elkhart Christian Academy (9-6-1) in the bye match on Oct 8 at approximately 8pm. First-night matches include Westville (3-11) against Oregon-Davis (2-8) at 6pm. The nightcap features Marquette Catholic (10-2-1) and Trinity Academy on Oct 6. The Oct 6 winners will face off in the 6pm match, followed by LaVille-ECA. The 1A Sectional #34 championship match kicks off at 2pm EDT. “We’re excited for the opportunity to see this opponent again in the state tournament," said LaVille coach Keith Norman. "They got the better of us earlier in the season, but we’ve grown a lot since then. Our players have put in the work to improve every day, and this game is a chance to show that progress." There are 312 boys teams and 283 girls teams set for competition in the state this season and continue to play out over the next four weeks. Both tournaments - boys and girls - mirror each other beginning with 16 sectionals in each of three classes running Oct. 6-11. Regional semifinals will beplayed Oct. 15-16 with regional championships on Oct. 18. Semi-States are Saturday, Oct. 25 at four sites with the winners advancing to the state championship matches on Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Michael Carroll Stadium at IU Indianapolis. The playing schedule will be made following the semi-state matches. Coach Norman's Lancer squad faced ECA back on September 15th, with the Eagles picking up a 3-1 decision. "The most important thing for us is continuing to compete with character, play for each other, and represent our school and community," explained Norman. "No matter the outcome, I’m grateful for how our families and supporters have stood behind this team — their belief has fueled our growth all season. We’re ready to step on the Newton Park field and give everything we have. "Our momentum moves forward, culture is strong, and improvement is all that matters." After being assisgned the 2025 IHSAA Boys Class 1A Sectional, LaVille HS has now been selected a host school for the fifth time since 2015. Bring The Excitement!
